The Ancient Apostolic Catholic Church is delighted to announce the establishment of Ancient Catholic Press, our new publishing imprint dedicated to bringing the riches of the Christian faith within reach of everyone who wishes to explore them.

For too long, theology has been treated as a subject reserved for scholars: written in the language of the academy, printed for the seminar room, and left largely untouched by the very people whose faith it is meant to serve. Ancient Catholic Press exists to change that. We believe that theology, prayer, liturgy, church history, the saints, Scripture, the sacraments, canon law, Christian spirituality and mysticism, moral theology, pastoral care and chaplaincy, ecclesiology, and the writings of the Church Fathers all belong not only in libraries and lecture halls, but in the hands of ordinary believers with enquiring minds.

Whether you are a newcomer to the faith, a lay reader wanting to understand the Divine Office for the first time, a student preparing for ministry, or simply someone who has always felt that theology was written for somebody else, Ancient Catholic Press is for you.

A New Chapter in
Church Publishing

Ancient Catholic Press has now been established as a private limited company, registered in England and Wales, with the Archbishop Primate serving as its Director. This new structure allows us to grow the Church's publishing ministry in a sustainable and properly governed way, supporting not only our own clergy and students but a growing community of authors writing in service of accessible theology.

We will shortly be opening our doors to new authors. If you have a manuscript, an idea, or simply a passion for making some corner of the Christian tradition understandable to the ordinary reader, we would love to hear from you. Write for Us

Ancient Catholic Press is built on a simple conviction: that theology belongs to everyone, not only to those with letters after their name. We are looking for authors who share that conviction: people who can write clearly, warmly and faithfully about prayer, liturgy, Scripture, the sacraments, church history, the saints, or any other corner of the Christian tradition, in a way that welcomes the newcomer rather than testing them.

We are especially keen to hear from:

First-time authors who have never been published before, but have something worth saying
Clergy, readers and catechists who have taught a subject so many times they could write the book on it
Students and seminarians developing work that could go on to serve those coming after them
Anyone who has felt that their own questions about the faith were never quite answered by the books available to them, and has gone on to answer those questions for themselves

You do not need a theology degree to write for Ancient Catholic Press. You need only a genuine grasp of your subject and the willingness to explain it plainly. As the imprint grows, we hope to offer our authors editorial guidance, design and production support, and a clear route into print, all under the umbrella of the Church's own publishing house.

New and Forthcoming from Ancient Catholic Press

The Divine Office Explained, published this week, is the very first title to appear under the Ancient Catholic Press imprint. It is a warm and thorough introduction to the Church's daily round of prayer, written for lay readers who want to begin praying the Office with confidence.
