Request a Holy Mass Intention

A sacred offering for prayer, remembrance, and spiritual support

The celebration of Holy Mass is the highest form of prayer in the Catholic tradition. Through the offering of a Mass intention, the faithful may unite their prayers with the Church’s liturgy — for loved ones, for healing, for thanksgiving, or for any particular need close to the heart.

You may request a priest to offer Mass for a specific intention:

  • For the repose of the soul of someone who has died

  • For the health and wellbeing of a loved one

  • For guidance, peace, or a private concern

  • In thanksgiving for blessings received

  • For any intention known to God alone

Each Mass is offered with reverence and care. The priest receives a modest stipend, which is a traditional offering of support for his ministry. This also helps cover the cost of liturgical resources and materials used in the celebration. The stipend does not purchase grace—it is a gesture of gratitude and participation in the Church’s mission.

A Mass intention is a specific prayer request offered during the celebration of the Holy Mass. It allows the faithful to ask that the Eucharist be celebrated for a particular person, need, or cause—such as for the repose of a soul, healing, thanksgiving, or guidance. The priest names the intention during the liturgy, uniting it with the sacrifice of Christ. It is a deeply meaningful way to entrust someone or something to God’s grace through the Church’s most sacred prayer.
