A sacred offering for the repose of the soul

The Requiem Mass is the Church’s most solemn prayer for the departed—a Eucharistic celebration offered for the repose of a soul, entrusting them to God’s mercy and eternal peace. Rooted in the hope of resurrection, the Requiem Mass is a profound act of love, remembrance, and intercession.

You may request a priest to offer a Requiem Mass for a loved one who has died. This may be for someone recently departed, or in remembrance of an anniversary, birthday, or other meaningful occasion. The Mass may be celebrated on a date and time of your choosing, if available, or at the priest’s own timing, offered with full reverence and prayer.

The requested offering helps support the priest’s ministry and covers the cost of liturgical resources. It is not a payment for grace, but a traditional stipend that honours the sacred labour of prayer and service.
