HOW THE MONSTRANCE IS BLESSED
The Blessed Sacrament is exposed on the altar of repose every Saturday afternoon, with Benediction following a period of prayer and reflection in the chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. These small monstrance replicas (6cm x 3cm) are reverently touched to a historic relic of the Agnus Dei (French) that sits on the altar, along with the monstrance.
These small monstrance are not touched to the Blessed Sacrament, only to the relic of the Agnus Dei, an 18th century French made relic. The small monstrance are stored reverently in the tabernacle along with the reserved sacrament.
You are paying for the monstrance, or the priest blessing; they do not include any particles of the blessed sacrament nor are they touched to the sacrament- - it is carefully and prayerfully touched to the Agnus Dei relic only and blessed by one of our priests.
